One of my lovely college friends ( thanks to technology”whats app to be precise” all of my awesome college/ hostel friends are still connected) shared this recipe with me few weeks ago and I instantly found it so Interesting. It was super easy and sounded so yumm. The very thought of textures and flavors of mango and avocados going with hot jalapenos and the crunch of cucumber and onion compelled me to try this salad ASAP.
I had ripe sweet mangoes in my fridge but had to shop for avocados. However about jalapenos, it’s normal to find either jalapenos or other hot chilies in an Indian fridge. Other than this all you need is onions and cucumbers and a very basic seasoning ingredients for this lovely looking awesome tasting Mango avocado & Jalapeno summer salad.
This recipe sounded so simple and interesting that I didn’t try to change anything to it, except for adding a little chat masala. All you need to do is mix it all up add the dressing and let it be in the fridge for at least 15-20 minutes. Serve chilled and enjoy the lovely burst of flavors and textures in your mouth.
I preferred using white onions for this salad as they are relatively less strong in taste, the jalapenos I used were really hot I actually ended up using only one big hot jalapeno. The Mango was well ripe and very sweet Indian mangoes, but I guess any ripe sweet mango should work for this mango avocado & jalapeno summer salad. Seriously guys its summer in a bowl.
